plm25 data in vicnames
Public Land Management (PLM25) dataset describes public land management for the State of Victoria , where public land is defined as land held by/vested in/or owned by DELWP and other governmental departments, public authorities, the Commonwealth government and municipalities.
Public land includesstate forests, parks and reserved and unreserved crown land, including estuarine, coastal and marine areas to the 3-nautical mile limit (5.5 km) from the high-water mark. This layer describes the primary management, land manager and the VEAC recommendations.
PLM25 is a derived layer, using VMPROP.PARCEL_CROW N_APPROVED as the base layer. It relies on tabular and spatial sources to get the proper land description. PORTAL, CLR_VOTS and PRIMS are the tabular sources of information. PARKRES, VEACRECS25 and CL_TENURE are the spatial sources. Additional layers were also created to describe areas of state forests, plantations, water frontages and commonwealth land.
A new layer, named "PLM25 Extents" is added to the "Places" layer collection in the "Build Map" tab of VICNAMES. This layer will become automatically active and enabled at map scale 1:50K. Clicking the red asterisk next to the layer name will automatically zoom the map to a scale of 1:50K and active the layer, when the map is at a scale less than 1:50K.
Any PLM25 data available will be displayed on the map when the map scale is 1:50K or greater and the "PLM25 Extents" layer is enabled.
When you search for a place in VICNAMES and if that place has a corresponding PLM25 Extent, then this extent will also be displayed when the searched place is displayed on the map. The map scale will adjust dynamically so that the full PLM25 Extent associated with the searched Place will be displayed on the map. Below image shows the PLM25 Extent associated with Place "Bendoc State Forest".
