Within SMES, the horizontal coordinates and height of a rigorously adjusted survey mark are derived from two separate network adjustments.
The national GDA2020 network adjustment provides adjusted GDA2020 coordinates and uncertainties, while the levelling network adjustment provides levelling adjusted AHD heights and uncertainties.

This SMES release established a clear distinction between the two adjustments by relabelling survey marks with adjusted horizontal coordinates as SCN (GDA) and survey marks with levelling adjusted AHD heights as Adjusted AHD (Adj. AHD). SCN (GDA) is characterised by its blue triangle symbol. This SCN (GDA) update is reflected in all relevant mark reports, sketches and survey mark selections.

In addition to the SCN (GDA) classification, the survey marks with horizontally adjusted coordinates have additional attributes in the Survey Mark Selection window.

Survey marks with levelling adjusted AHD heights are identified by a new bold green circle symbol, while survey marks with non-adjusted, levelled AHD heights are identified by the standard green circle symbol.

This release established a clear distinction between the types of AHD heights by relabelling the survey marks with levelling adjusted AHD heights as Adjusted AHD (Adj.AHD) with a bold green circle.
Survey marks with non-adjusted, levelled AHD heights are labelled as AHD with the existing green circle symbol. These changes are reflected in all relevant mark reports, sketches and survey mark selections.
